Miguel Avocado, B Flower, Guatemalan-West Indies Mix
One tree of Miguel came in with the Dupuis when I planted the grove. It took a while to detect it. It is getting squeezed between two tall Dupuis. I taste the fruit every year and I'm not impressed with the flavor. Nice fruit some times the fruit has stripes of light green-yellow color. I'll try to take pictures this season.
Not to be confused with San Miguel from Hawaii.
October 2, 2012: My Miguel tree had a decent crop. Considering it is fighting for space. It is a productive variety. A friend grows it commercially and averaged 5 bushel per tree this year. That is about 275 lbs per tree, impressive, It is a good looking fruit. Also I notice that there is never any disease on the tree and fruit, it stays very clean. A lot of people like it, I find it a bit bland.
January 17, 2014: I'll have to discontinue coverage of this tree it failed victim of my change of canopy program. I forgot to mark it and now I don't know where its is and will probably be top worked. I don't think I will be replanting it.
October 14, 2014: Found the Tree! It was holding a lot of 35 oz fruit.
