Daisy Avocado A flower type
I do not know much about this variety a friend got me the bud wood, indicating it was a B flowers type. My interest on this tree is as a possible pollinator for some A flower type trees that I have. Nothing on line on it. This tree was grafted in early 2014, so it is about 10-11 months.
January 24, 2014: Seems like is beginning to set the flowering in motion in its own particular fast way. Is not building large cauliflowers but shooting out flowers shoots from small buds. We should know flower type in a few days
February 3, 2015: The tree has open flowers. Had both male and female open at 1:30 PM probably a B. Will need to double check
March 2, 2015: Daisy seems to be A flower. At 11:00 am had open female flowers
July 13, 2016: Did not see ant fruit mature to conclusion last year. Seems like this year, an odd year for most other trees the Daisy set a good number of fruit. I hope I have time and don't forget to check on it frequently. Nice looking fruit so far. See pictures.
September 12, 2015. The Daisy is growing very slowly. I like it. The fruit now weights around nine oz. Very clean, bright colored. I did not see any significant fruit drop so it seems like its got a while to go. I picked one to see if it ripens.
